At SmartMariage, we had the privilege of organizing a magnificent mixed-culture wedding in the Île-de-France region, bringing together three cultures rich in tradition: Italian, Moroccan, and Portuguese. It was an exceptional day where every detail was carefully considered to reflect the couple's story and their families' heritage.
A wedding day combining a civil ceremony and a secular ceremony
The day began with a civil ceremony at the town hall in the morning, surrounded by the couple's loved ones. This official moment marked the beginning of a celebration focused on sharing and love.
In the afternoon, the guests gathered at a stunning reception venue in the Île-de-France region for a moving secular ceremony. The speeches, exchanges of vows, and heartfelt testimonials from loved ones created a warm and authentic atmosphere, reflecting the unique multicultural nature of the wedding.

A Dolce Vita decor in shades of blue
For their wedding decorations, the couple chose a Dolce Vita-inspired theme, a symbol of elegance and conviviality. The dominant color was azure blue, a nod to Mediterranean landscapes and the roots of the three cultures represented.
This luminous blue was used throughout the décor: floral arrangements, stationery, tableware, and decorative elements. A perfect harmony that evoked the Italian coast, the Portuguese Atlantic Ocean, and the refined nuances of the Moroccan way of life.

A celebratory wine with flavors from Italy, Morocco and Portugal
The reception was designed as a true culinary journey through the three countries.
Guests were able to enjoy iconic cocktails:
- The Spritz to represent Italy and its festive spirit.
- Sangria to pay homage to Portugal and its friendly atmosphere.
The culinary demonstrations showcased the specialties of each culture:
Morocco
A delicious pita filled with beef and onion tagine, prepared fresh to order, delighted the guests with its oriental flavors.
Italy
A spectacular display around half a wheel of Parmesan cheese in which cheese and cream ravioli were prepared, a symbol of Italian gastronomic expertise.
Portugal
A workshop featuring flambéed chorizo accompanied by onions and grilled pineapple brought a generous and authentic touch to the festivities.

A spectacular arrival of the bride and groom in Dakka and Amariya
Before dinner began, the bride and groom made a remarkable entrance inspired by Moroccan traditions.
Driven by the infectious rhythms of the Dakka Marakchia and accompanied by the Amariya, they offered their guests a truly moving and spectacular experience. This traditional entertainment celebrated the bride's Moroccan heritage while creating a festive atmosphere right from the start of the meal.

A Portuguese atmosphere at the heart of the dinner
The dinner was punctuated by many surprises and moments of sharing.
One of the most moving moments of the evening was the groom's father's performance of a Portuguese song. This musical tribute touched all the guests and served as a reminder of the importance of family traditions in this multicultural union.
Throughout the meal, Portuguese music accompanied the guests, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere.
A wedding cake in the wedding colors
To conclude the dinner, the newlyweds unveiled a magnificent wedding cake featuring the shades of blue from the Dolce Vita theme. A true centerpiece of the reception, it symbolized the elegance and harmony that guided the organization of this event.

A dance party hosted by a DJ
The party continued into the early hours with a dance party hosted by a professional DJ. Between Portuguese, Italian, Moroccan music and international hits, all generations came together on the dance floor to celebrate this exceptional union.
